The Reno-Stead Airport is a large general aviation airport located in the North Valleys area, 10 nautical miles northwest of the central business district of Reno, Nevada. It is owned by the Reno Tahoe Airport Authority.
Reno/Stead Airport does not have regularly scheduled service, but it functions as a general aviation reliever for the nearby Reno/Tahoe International Airport. The airport is home to the Reno Air Races.

The City of Carson City constructed the airport terminal building in 1963 to serve scheduled passenger airline activities. 'The airport terminal building provides approximately 2,700 square feet of space and is located at the midpoint of the main apron area. While the terminal accommodated schedule passenger activities on occasion in the past, there has been no scheduled passenger service at Carson City Airport since 1985. The terminal building has been converted, and now serves as a restaurant.

The Minden-Tahoe Airport is a 990-acre general aviation non-towered airport. Built in 1942 as a military training base, Douglas County acquired the Airport and has operated it as a municipal airport governed by Douglas County Board of County Commissioners.
The Airport serves a broad base of aviation uses from corporate to recreational flying. It is home to approximately 250 aircraft with 80,000 annual operation. It is also home to the Minden Tanker Base and the Sierra Front Dispatch Agency with primary mission of dispatching tankers to fires in the Sierra Nevada region.
